I do a lot of work for MBNA credit cards and their affinity partner brands. We're often asked to create small marketing campaigns to support new team credit card product launches, or to celebrate events like the Grey Cup. Below is some imagery from my favourite MBNA sport marketing campaigns that I've worked on.
ART DIRECTION / DESIGN
I worked with our lead copywriter to come up with the campaign concepts and themes. I also created the main campaign imagery and then worked with my team to version out all of the creative assets.
To support the launch of the Raptor's MBNA Rewards MasterCard credit card, we designed a responsive page that lives on the Toronto Raptors' website. Below are two concepts, followed by the final design.
To support and promote MBNA's new NFL Rewards VISA, we designed a landing page that lives on the NFL website, as well as supporting banner ads that drive to the online credit card application. MBNA wanted the creative to be exciting, and really drive home all the exclusive NFL rewards die hard, card carrying fans could redeem their points for.
The artwork is designed to be loud and bold - so it feels like the player photography and typography is jumping out at you from the page. We were unfortunately stuck building the page in an iframe, but to add some added visual interest we incorporated movement by having elements animate in as the user scrolled. We also had the card image flash through all the different NFL team cards. I designed all of the creative for this project, and I helped edit the copy. Overall, our client was really happy with the final result.
To support and promote MBNA's CFL Rewards MasterCard credit cards, we designed landing pages that live on the CFL team websites. MBNA wanted to tie the various team pages together with a concept that would get people excited about the card and urge them to apply. Since the MBNA Rewards credit cards offer fans the chance to redeem points for exclusive experiential rewards, we thought the concept of the SUPERFAN was perfect.
"Get the card that SUPERFANS carry", "Get in on TRUE FAN experiences" were some of the copy points that we incorporated to entice users to apply. Below are a few samples of the page designs.
